Will we be Luck(y) again?

Today is a big day and a huge national stage for Luck. Will he shine brightly, again, as he did against Peyton Manning's Broncos? Will Tom Brady and the Pats pose a much bigger challenge?

I'll be glued to a multitude of TV sets today, that's for sure. LETS GO BLUE!

#bringitbraxton

Could there be a new QB wearing a garnet #5 jersey? I sure hope so!

I SAY #bringitbraxton!!!

Apparently (TomahawkNation.com article) Jalen Ramsey agrees!

Please join the fight to #kickcancersass by visiting my new Facebook page: KICK CANCER'S ASS and sharing it with your friends. Together we can put a stop to the disease effecting so many women in our country. Thank you for your support. Now back to football!

At least my Colts are playing today!

Well, my Noles season came to an unceremonious end, breaking the longest winning streak in the country at:

It was a good run, but I really believed we had a chance to go 31-0 and repeat as national champions. Oregon shattered that delusion, 59-20, on the Rose Bowl field. And had they kept up their pace from 3 quarters before, they probably could have scored 70 or more on the Noles' hapless defense. Sadly, it wasn't just the defense, giving up 640 yards to the Ducks high-flying offense, it was a combination of errors, a comedy, if you will, as that last fumble/toss up by Winston in the 4th was blooper reel fodder! That was the fifth turnover of the game by the offense. Dalvin Cook, our freshman phenom, provided two others. So the game went.

Up until the very last turnover, it seemed like we had a chance. The Noles offense was clicking. Winston, while throwing high several times, was on-target. The ground game was churning up yards--200 in all. The offense amassed 538 yards and 28 first downs. Not too shabby, but nobody overcomes five turnovers, not even the reigning national champions and especially not against the Ducks. They turned those TO's into touchdowns where our offense had settled for early field goals...also not smart against a high-scoring team like Oregon.

In all, it was a very disappointing game, painful to watch. Kudos to the Ducks who took it to my Noles.

Fortunately, my Colts are still very much alive in the NFL Playoffs and, in fact, are playing the Bengals right now. GO COLTS!!!
